FISHING IN THE SEA: THE CALL OF THE WIDE HORIZON

Winter is a good season to fish in the sea. Fish prepare their reserves before going out to sea and this can translate into good fishing sessions. Discover how to take advantage of your opportunities to capture our friends with fins.

THE SURFCASTING

As winter approaches, the fishing conditions become less favorable. The waters are cooling and the fish are thrown into the sea heading south. As the weather is capricious, we must always be prepared. You can enjoy your life better. Experience on the seashore with a coat, warm pants and a pair of gloves. The moments with sun do not abound and it is when the fish are most active. Take advantage of these pleasant moments for you and for the fish.

THE BAIT

Whether on the beach, in a port, or from a jetty or a breakwater, natural baits are the most versatile instrument for fishing.
The worms are the ideal bait for fishing marine predators and flatfish. Some large fish move to eat. The cephalopods (octopus, squid, and cuttlefish) and sardines are an irresistible snack.

POSITIONS

These depend on the distance you can reach.
You must locate the points where the fish pass. The mouths, the estuaries and the tips of land are the chosen places. If there is a flood, take advantage of it! The fish are going to be more active. Small fish will be thrown to eat so they will attract the attention of predatory fish.
The deepest lagoons are laid with abundant fish and accessible to fishermen.

THE LURE

Let's not forget the unconditional followers of the lures, who fish from a boat or on dry land. While conditions at sea are difficult, we still have some effective techniques.

THE GAPS

It is a typical place for marine predators and for many fish. In these fishing positions, we advise you to use jigs or flexible lures. A jig that weighs little is easier to animate slowly and to plan and consequently is more attractive in winter.

SAIGON AND DIES

They are good places until the end of the year. If you fish with multiple hooks you can catch cephalopods. As these progressively reduce the amount of food, you should opt for a slow animation.

THE PORTS

Some species of fish remain in the port even in winter. Fishing "finesse" (rock fishing) is practiced between the rocks of the shore. In winter, fish reduce their diet and you must encourage them. To do this, combine shapes and colors.

Now you can choose the technique that you like and go fishing in the sea in winter. Fish bring you many surprises, discover them!
